Has anyone here taken any MCSA/MCSE tests lately?

I'm just curious about what style tests you were given, the MS website states the tests may be either adaptive or traditional fixed-form exams.

Has anyone here taken tests recently?
Has anyone been given adaptive style tests at the testing location?

I took mine in April, May & June of this year. Eight exams to get both MCSA & MCSE. None of my exams were adaptive. Of them 5 were scored and 3 were pass-fail.

I understand from some of the other folks in class with me that the A+ and Network+ exams have gone adaptive. One guy finished his A+ exam in under 10 minutes while a couple of others took over 2 hours.

I took the A+ two years ago, it was adaptive and I was done in under 30 minutes with only 18 or 19 questions.

From what I read recently in some MS newsgroups no one seems be seeing adaptive format and they no longer score the exams, it's just pass/fail as you pointed out.

The last one I took back in March was traditional. They're changing it to adaptive form? Why? Won't that cheapen the cert even more??
