Has anyone here seen a cat do this?

Took him to the vet on Friday to get a few teeth pulled. Since then, every once in a while he'll be walking around and it almost looks like he falls asleep standing up. He sits back on his hind legs, and his head just hangs there limp. He doesn't respond to noise at all; I don't think we've tried poking him when he does it. Has anyone had a cat do that before? We took him back to the vet, he had no idea what was going on. He used to do this when he was a kitten as well, but hasn't done it for several years.

We've had a ton of cats over the years, but I've never seen one do that. He's just cat-napping. (Seriously, I hope he's alright)

Not to alarm you... but he might be having mini seizures. That is not the end of the world, as many cats do that and are just fine, living pretty normanl lives. But you might want to ask your vet to do more in depth tests.

I suspect it's the anesthetic's lingering effects, since it had a few teeth pulled I'm assuming it's an older cat?

No idea about kitties, but I know older people can take some time to recover from anesthesia, takes longer to eliminate from their system, kidneys don't work as well, etc.

I'd relate a story about a friend's cat and its behaviour subsequent to ingesting a certain substance left unattended on a coffee table, but I'd probably get another vacation. :p

Shouldn't have lethargy from the vet almost a week ago. It sounds kidn of odd to me. I would at least consult a vet by phone.

I had a feeling that might be it. I think I'll take him to a different vet.
