Has anyone here fixed an lcd monitor?

it could be one of 2 things from the description.

1) if its a loose cable it should not be hard to fix

2) if its is a panel issue then your out of luck as it would need a new panel as there is nothing in them fixable
 
My wife's laptop monitor got to where it would be covered with green the vast majority of the time. I fixed it with a $13 video cable off of ebay and 1-2 hours of work. If that's the problem, then it's just a matter of getting the cable and spending the time to fix it.
