Has anyone here ever partaken in an eating contest?

I have been told many times I should enter one, but I do not like that type of reputation, nor would I hold my own with those guys in timed contests, they are very "talented".

That being said I can easily eat over 20 hot dogs (not timed), or 2 large pizzas, 4 racks up ribs in under 8 minutes. Such eating though is normal for me after a nice long workout at the gym. I am a powerlifter though so my diet is mild compared to most in my sport. My favorite post workout meal though is going to famous daves and ordering the all american feast for four and down one while the waitor looks on in astonishment. 😀

i use to win the jello eating contest at my block party. i won like 4 years in a row, then they stopped having it.

ps, i'm not fat... right now, 6' 184lbs - and back then i was much skinnier for my age

Yes, it was an apple pie with no hands. And it was just one pie for time. I smoked the competition, and the pie was great. I asked for another when it was over.

if my 5'11" 140lb body could handle it without causing the damage i suspect it would...i'd do it.

No. But in my glory days I would challenge anybody to an M&C contest.
Back when I was really active and had a huge appetite I could go through several family size boxes.

Pizza a few guys ago with mates. I won  but would get killed by 'serious' eating guys.

Whats M&C? Milk and cereal?

pie eating. did good for the chocolate cream pie rounds (1st place in both heats). Final heat used Cherry pies...I hate cherries. Took one bite and almost threw up. Just sat there and waited for the time to end.

Nothing serious. Back when I played football in highschool (i feel like al bundy saying that, but don't get me wrong I wasn't great or anything) the offensive line would go out to Gator's Dockside on Monday night's for all you can eat wings. We'd see who could last the longest. My highest was 55 or so (can't remember) but I never won. Oddly enough the skinniest offensive lineman would win the most. They'd go to 60-70 wings
