personally i think it looks big, and bloated. I own a 2k Maxima and the oversteer is ridiculous. I can't imagine the oversteer on this new model.

EDIT: torque steer.

I should have known. Skoorb would have been attracted by the scent of fresh "nissan" in the thread title. I have an oldie 95 maxima gxe...its getting too old what do u think of me getting an 03 or 04 in about a year? What kind of change will it be?

A bigone :) The 03 has 255 horsepower, with the 04 having 265. If you wait a little bit the 04 and 03 both will experience the horrendous resale of nissans and you'll make off like a bandit. Based on what little I read about the 04 (first of the 6 gens) I would be hesitant about buying an early one. Some of them exhibit a hell of a lot of issues from what little I read.

Well it is a lot of car, but i think you shouild be able to get one for under 30k. I'd probably buy an infinit before a _brand new_ maxima.

Oversteer? That's a quality of RWD cars
Perhaps you mean understeer or torque steer.

I bet he means torque steer. I don't think I'd want a car pushing that much power to the front wheels.

I am the devil, er, I mean a used car salesman :), and we sell '03 Maxima SE's loaded with sunroof, for $16,995 all day long. They lose value very quickly, but after the initial hit, they maintain for several years. I would buy a one year old Maxima, or get a program car in a few months. You can save $12-15K if you hold out a little bit. Let me know if you want one form me. :):):) I am honest, believe it or not. I work off of units sold, not gross profit.

Geeze based on his reply you could make off like a bandit about now :) You should be able to find a local seller selling in the same sort of price range. Maximas have the most absolutely god-awful resale, like I mentioned, so they make the perfect late-model used purchase!

Heh. I am just bitter because the it just had some probs with the starter and serpentine belt. Left me stranded at the parking lot on a saturday morning. Wasted a few hours waiting for AAA then took $400 out of my pocket. =\ If it happened to you you'd complain too.
