Has anyone here built a good projector?

I have seen that you can build your own projector w/ a mini LCD and other assorted things and want to know if anyone has or knows someone that has that has good/bad advice about their plans. This would be great help.

"Built a good projector?" Are you serious? That can't be easy or cheap and it would work like crap.

So, aside from holding up a flashlight and making shadows with my hands, the answer is no.

Building a projector is like trying to build a laptop; it's not worth the trouble or cost and it would work like crap.

Good luck on your quest though!! You're gonna need it.

actually i remember there was this whole fad of buidling projectors among DIYer cliques... sorry cant really find a link to it
