Has anyone here bought one of these cheap Netflix/Hulu/Spotify etc codes from ebay?

Haven't bought one myself, but it seems legit enough. My guess would be that people get these as gifts, don't want them, and sell them for a discount on eBay for some quick money.

EDIT: Never mind, looks like I'm a little too optimistic about people's intentions...

Seems shady since most of the sellers are from other countries, maybe they are using stolen credit cards. If that is the case and you bought a code, what happens a few months down the road if the account gets zapped? Does ebay cover you?

Looks more like someone stole a CC and need a way to get money out of them. These are being sold from Croatia. I would pay with a CC so you at least can do a chargeback if it goes south.

But yea, my guess is stolen CC used to buy a gift card from a B&M store. You will probably be fine but you are supporting thieves and possibly terrorists to save a few bucks.

I got a 1 year code from a friend before. It worked for a month, and then my account got banned.

So better not get them from ebay.

Paypal will not cover any intangible product that cannot be shipped. Expect to see more of these scams as the holiday season get's closer. If you buy a a subscription, it may work now, but once the charge back if filled with the person who got ripped off in the first place, you the buyer will be sol.
