I'm just saying that that system diagnosis has a ram reader. And my ram says DDR2700,,,,but it's from ocz and it's 512 of premeier at 3200.
something is screwy.

There's a good chance that it is running at 2700.

<-- has two doublesided DIMMs on a socket 754, and has to drop the speed down to keep it within spec.

Check your BIOS settings.

My board can handle 400. But the memory controller can only handle effectively "three sides" at 400. When it sees more, it down clocks to 333. It's an A64 limitation. Check your MB's manual. It's probably in there.

It's NOT THE RAM'S LIMITATION. It is the memory controller inside of the CPU. If you are running ONE SINGLE DIMM you can run 400. If you run two DIMMs that are single sided you can run 400. If you run to DIMMs that are double sided, you can run 333.
