NEED HELP ASAP.

recently puchased an 9800gx2 unfortunately my 1 KW PC Power and Cooling didn't have the 6+2 pin PCIe necessary to connect to the card, so rather than buying another heavyweight PSU, i opted to get the Epower Juicebox 450W graphics card power supply as a supplement to my existing 1KW.
the juicebox looked to be the answer to my probs, since i only needed it to power the card and it's suppose to have 38amps total on 2 X 12v rails. however, after trying it out last night, that wasn't the case. looked like the 9800gx2 green lighted the 6 pin connector but red lighted the 6+2 pin. i didn't even get to the bios screen. no vid @ all.
my question is, does anyone have any experience w/ the Juicebox? <rant>on a separate note, what the hell is up w/ the new extra 2 pins in the PCIe plugs anyway? i checked the specs and they're just extra ground wires. sure looks like some screw job by the graphics and PSU guys to have early adapters shelling out some $$$ to upgrade to a new PSU.</Rant>

My gx2 runs fine on my 620 w psu... (plus 4 hard drives & 2 burners) I don't know what else is in your system, but if it's even close to normal the you should have plenty of power. Have you tried a 6 to 8 pin adapter?
