Has anyone had the testicular fortitude to do Anand's visual quality mod?

Was curious if anyone has popped off the capacitors on their nvidia cards and if there was a notable improvement? I have 0 problems with the quality on my Visiontek GF3 Ti200. And my other cards have been ok, some worse than others. I don't plan on modifiying mine, just curious if anyone had done it. Hats off to those brave enough 🙂

I havent done that particular mod, but I have done Xbit labs' additional core voltage mod, and the GF2 - Quadro2 mod found on www.plasma-online.de.

Its not really that hard - you've just got to have a nice pointy solering iron, preferably previous experience with surface mount soldering, and a keen eye 😉

The pratice I got was fixing my Nokia 5110 - I went swimming with it and 2 of the resistors corroded off the main circuit board. I compared it to my friend's phone, and pulled 2 resistors of similar value off an old fujitsu 1gb SCSI drive, and soldered them on.

The GeForce2MX mod was a LOT easier, I can tell you...

😀

I may have just had a string of crappy 2D cards but this Gainward Ti200 has the best 2D I have ever had.

Not the best I have seen though. But I game, so I always seem to pick the 3D over 2D.
