has anyone gotten droid x2?

im just wondering how much difference the hardware makes. when i tried it in the store briefly it displayed web pages at basically the same speed as my dx1

I played with one at the Verizon store not an hour ago. I came away disappointed with its performance, but admittedly, this was the demo model. Verizon & various customers had installed a slew of junk apps, in addition to the junk that comes preinstalled, and put several live widgets on every home screen. The Blur app drawer and screen transitions seemed sluggish compared to the TouchWiz Charge next to it.

I have no doubt that with some development, the power in the Tegra 2 chip will be more fully unleashed, but right now, I wouldn't buy an X2. Its locked bootloader is a deal breaker for me, but that's a personal issue.

I did like the feel of the Droid Charge though, I uninstalled Advanced Taskkiller, installed Launcher Pro, and set a static wallpaper and its performance markedly improved. The Charge still has the typical flimsy Samsung feel to it, but its not nearly as bad as the Fascinate. I could fold the Fascinate in half using only my eye lids.

Oh, I also uninstalled ATK from the X2.
