has anyone gotten an intel 855g chip...

just got my panasonic ae700u projector. it has a native res of 1280x720.... stupid intel extreme graphics.

the "custom resolutions" button in powerstrip is greyed out.....

Probably a stupid question..but why do you want a custom resolution? Sorry I'm unfamiliar with projectors..but, it has to be at that resolution to operate? The Intel graphics won't let you go to 1280x720 you mean? Make sure it's not listed in (right click Desktop, Properties menu, Settings tab, Advanced button, Adapter tab, List All Modes button). My best advice to you is to pick up a new cheap video card (like a really cheap Radeon) that has drivers supported by PowerStrip. I'm not sure if you could set a resolution like that without hacking around in the .inf driver installation files, so maybe some $10 video card would be more worth it. Besides, you could at least play Doom2 on it ;).

its an lcd projector, so the display will look much clearer at the native resolution, like a lcd monitor. i can't get a new video card bc this is a laptop (would be nice though) :) powerstrip does everything else, just it can't set custom resolutions on th 855...

what version do you have? i just got the 14.9 from intel's site..no luck

do you have to use powerstrip or anything? or it just shows up?
