Has anyone got their Plextor PX-716A to recognise DATASAFE 16x DVD+R Media?

Been away for a while and have stack of this media and wanted to see if I can get the 716A to recognise it as 16x. It is supposed to be rated at 16 speed.

I have started messing with PlexTools Pro but cannot seem to get "Auto Strategy" to work which is supposed to create a write strategy for unsupported media.

Any help would be appreciated. 😉
 
Okay. I'm a patient guy. Anyone? I'm still having issues with the drive recognising the media as 16x. The company who supplied me the DVD+R's confirmed that they are indeed 16x. I updated the firmware today to 1.04 (updated version) and still only 8x...🙁
 
Okay...anyone able to explain to me how to get Plextor's "Auto Strategy" working?

Okay. For those that are interested. Which isn't many LOL. The latest Firmware for the Writer lets you burn 16x with these DATASAFE disks. 😉
