Went with a Gloucester company, but I was about 11, maybe 12 at the time. We went damn far out, but I think we did find a couple of whales ultimately. White boat, you could walk on an outside perimeter of the main deck, or the exposed upper deck, so a decent size.

we took one of the ones out of provincetown. it was great. unfortunately, i don't remember the name but i think they all go to the same area as i remember seeing at least one other boat.

make sure you get a good telephoto lens. a point and shoot really just doesn't do it justice.

Hmm, I'll have to check that town as well.

Thanks all.

Just google "provincetown whale watching". That's what I did two years ago. I think I used the "Dolphin Fleet" company, and it was pretty good. My wife got a bunch of shots of several whales surfacing.

I usually just go to the mall of america and watch them gracefully float around in their rented mobility scooters with their muffin tops hanging over the armrests...sooo sexy..

I'll be right back ...:D

My family went on a whale watching cruise that launched from the cape (I was in college at the time so luckily I missed the trip). They saw 0 whales and the water was so choppy everyone was vomiting. People were sliding around falling in vomit, then people who saw and heard others barfing started to throw up too. The boat was a mess.
