I haven't checked BIOS updates in a while and I noticed that Abit has release 6 BIOS updates since my last update. I'm currently using the "YH" BIOS.

Are there any known problems with the "7N" BIOS? Is it worth updating my BIOS?

Thanks in advance for answering my stupid questions.

I was trying to flash to latest BIOS KT7-RAID with total failure. Had to go back to previous one which worked just fine.
Th same might happen to KT7a.
In case you do not mind to reformat your hard drive and waste your day... go for that

I flashed my kids KT7 for the WZ bios to the 7N so that they could use a Morgan 1GHz. It really bumps the memory settings to aggressive timings. They were able to run a 112MHz fsb, now it is running 105MHz to remain stable.

I also have a KT7A board Ver. 1.3, I have flashed up to 4t, but not 7n. I believe 7n is required for Athlon XP compatability. Since i have a 1.4 GHz Thunderbird, 7n is not needed for my board, also, Athlon XP is only compatible with Ver. 1.3 for the KT7A. The other posts are refering to the older KT7 board. BTW, mine is overclocked at 1540 MHz, and is very stable.
