Has anyone ever watched cartoons on Sunday morning?

I was at my parents place the other day, and was watching TV with my younger brother. They were showing Japanase cartoon, called Digital Monsters, or something like that. All I have say is, Jesus, I've never seen anything so stupid. They had this little fluffy creatures (I don't know what to call those things), that were turning into big monsters. And in doing so, they were repeating the same line over and over again. And that went on for the entire cartoon. What happened to the cartoons that we grew up on? I don't want to offend anyone, but I think Japanese make one of the worst cartoons ever.

The first time I saw it, there was a giant cactus with boxing gloves. Now THAT is scary.
