Has anyone ever tried "Hearos Hi-Fidelity" Earplugs?

I'm a pretty frequent concert-goer, and was just wondering if these are worth the $15 price tag. There aren't really too many reviews on earplugs on the net, besides the usual ones directly at the sites that sell them.

Basically, I'm scared of eventually getting tinnitus or something similar from going to too many concerts on top of jamming, blaring my car audio system, etc. The only time my ears really ring is from concerts, though so I figure it can't hurt to wear plugs to shows. The only problem is I don't want the music to sound like total a$$, so I'm willing to pay for a earplug that doesn't muffle the sound.

Let me know what you guys think about these, or if you know of any really good alternatives.

Muffling the sound is exactly the point of ear plugs, isn't it? 😕

Anyway, I've had a pair of Hearos for quite a while and they've been great. They definitely cut down on the excessive loudness of a concert so my ears don't ring or hurt at the end of the night. I suppose you could argue they might destroy some of the high-frequency sound you'd otherwise hear but it's nothing you notice at a blaring metal show anyway. They're discrete and stay in place, too, so you can mosh with the other kiddies and they won't call you a pussy for wearing plugs because, frankly, they won't be able to see them.

Good stuff and worth the price, I think. They're WAY better than the cheap-o foam ones.

ive stopped going to concerts because the roadies are all deaf and cant tell when the music is too loud. stupid asses.
