Has anyone ever purchased gift certificates from Restaurant.com ?

Looks like a good way to save money, but I donno if this is legit. Anyone buy coupons or certificates from them before?

there's a few palces in the town i moved,

they work, i was really suprised.
the resturants was good and have had no problems yet.

a lot of the time you can even find 50% you pruchase codes.

wasn't there a thread about some guy calling the cops on an asian restaurant because they wouldn't take his gc from one of those online places? and yes, i am far too lazy to actually look for it.

Some places say you can't use them on certain nights. Maybe the guy was confused.

yep, i have many times - saved mucho bucks. sometimes they even have a 60% off promo going, but there always seems to be a 50% off coupon out there.

never had a restaurant deny. they applied to be on the site, why would they turn it down? some certificates have exclusions - just read beforehand.

I don't think I will ever go out of my way to use them, I used one at a restaurant and they said it was no good! I had just bought it the day before, but the restaurant kept insisting it was no good. Eventually we got them to accept the GC, but I would never go to that restaurant again though. The meal was still $2x.xx even after the GC, no way in heck I would have paid that $4x.xx pre GC price. I guess this was more of a bad experiance at the restaurant than with restaurant.com...
