Yeah, same here. Except when my eyes open, Martha Stewart is there. She is wearing a thong and lacy bra from Victoria's Secret, as she glues gold glitter onto pine cones being tacked onto a wire form for a Christmas Wreath.

I cannot move. She touches me. There. I tell her "no, Martha....the Beegoo Wax Man is watching..." She goes away.

I cannot understand this.

All of you are whacked in the head. The human mind is an incredibly complex machine with no moving parts. We've all had dreams that we'd bet our life were real. In dreams, you can see, hear, smell, taste, feel and even have a dream within a dream. You are all over-reacting to very normal brain activity.

"Devil's Blanket" my @ss...yet another scare tactic dreamt up by the Bible Toting Fundamentalists.

Puh-leese.

ps
I used to have those "bed tilting and me sliding off the edge" dreams all the time. I would fight the fall, becoming terrified. Years ago, I learned to control that dream by just realizing it was a dream. Now when I fall off, I can fly around in my dream. Unfortunately, I still cannot control "those dreams". Christie Brinkley ala 1986 or so is still not a reality. :(

The Devil's Blanket thing is just a myth to explain what people saw. Sleep paralysis is real, and can be recreated in a lab.

Oh Boy...I've sufferred from this for years off and on and let me tell you, it is no fun. I discovered that if I concentrate really hard I can start to move a finger, once I get my finger going back and forth I can "snap" out of it. The first few times were completely scary...I thought I was dying. Good to know it's somewhat common.
