I had a biology lab with a girl that I truly could have married but she was already taken and to make things worse she kept bouncing ideas off me about her and her SO and how to resolve issues.

She was giving you an audition. You failed. I have found that when a woman complains about her man to you shes trying you out for the job.

EDIT: But srsly, how pathetic are you that simply having an attractive lab partner distracts you from lab work? I'm less experienced than TridenT and have never had a hard time keeping the two separate.

Some of us don't go out much.

And if you're in an engineering major, the gender ratio is pretty crazy, assuming there even is one. In my major, the graduating class was entirely male. (There were a few women in some of the other engineering majors though, but not many.) The traditional "sausage-fest" complaints ended sometime around the transition between the sophomore and junior years, when it became apparent that there was no hope for anything different.

Doesn't really do that either...it gives on hydrogen on contact with water, plus a lot of heat. Then the hydrogen goes off. Ever detonated a 3L roundbottom with chunks of sodium? Quenching stills is serious business!

I haven't had a hot lab partner per se, but as a TA I've had my fair share of smoking hot undergrads.


Then again, my wife does have a shirt that says "Experiment with a chemist!" so maybe that qualifies

I took civil engineering, which is among the "easiest" engineering majors, and most female friendly. It was still a 1:3 ratio for female:male. There are some more females in my environmental engineering grad courses, but omfg, stay away... All the females at my job are egomaniacs, narcissists, uptight, and not particularly hot. The ones in school that were hot, or above average at least, moved onto something else after graduating.
