has anyone ever gotten lucid dreaming to work?

I control my dreams most every night. Not 100% control per se, more like my dreams follow my suggestions as they progress. Every now and then I'll have a dream where specific "instructional thoughts" come to fruition.

Yup almost all the time.

A few nights ago (in a dream) I got like a $5000 computer and a dell 30" monitor, and I woke up thinking "Oh boy can't wait to try my new computer out", so I walk over to my desk and see my puny 20" monitor sitting there, and I'm like WTF where did it go, then I realize I was dreaming. 🙁

I hate when I have a sex dream and wake up right before the "best part" then try to go back to sleep and get back into the dream and I never can

I'm not joking, pretty much every time I sleep, I realize I am and I control it. It can get kinda crazy. 😛

I didn't realize that it was that rare thing.

Yup. It's great.

The things you need to avoid are alcohol before bedtime (screws the sleep cycle) and being over tired.

Lucid dreaming rocks.... I used to be so good, I actually saw places thousands of miles away and was right about what I saw. My long-distance boyfriend at the time was totally freaked out by it. 😀

You just made the leap from reality to supernatural.... how do you expect to be right about seeing things youve never seen?

I don't think I've been able to do that. I would want to try to test the "die in a dream, die in real life" theory.

What kind of dumbass theory is that? I die in dreams all of the time.

That's technically astrial projection at that point.. did that once, but freaked me out once I lifted from my body, that I snapped back in and haven't really tried since. It's hard work training your body to 'sleep' while you remain 'awake' ..

I can steer 90% of my dreams. It's the few nightmares that pwn me.

Perhaps it's the fact that I can't control those dreams which makes them nightmares. *ponder*

i have, and it is amazing! best graphics ever! In one dream I was in an old house and I thought to myself, i need to find a logo or something and then look it up online to see if it really exists. So i pass by a bathroom and there's an old bathtub with an ornate logo on it and i go up to it and try to memorize the part number. However, apparently the read and remember part of my brain was asleep! A really odd feeling that is. I kept trying to memorize it over and over and thought I did, but later when I awoke, couldn't remember it. ... just one of many experiences.

Had it a few times, it's pretty freaking cool. I remember that the walls are ultra clear, as if I could see every single grain on the walls.

early in the morning i often find myself realizing that i am dreaming based on some ludicrous situation or occurance, and then being able to do whatever i want, or do things i wouldn't do in normal life because i realize there are no consequences.
