There are a few names I would like but they have been registered long ago and aren't used anymore. I emailed the owner via the "ask seller a question" form but never get a response. I'm guessing they have switched email accounts by now, etc. and don't even remember that they own the name?

Has anyone ever picked up a name like this?

Big frickin deal, its not like your buyers/sellers look at your name.

Actually, they do. My current name is quite catchy and people remember it very easily so they can find me again when they need stuff. Problem is that my business model is changing and so is the business so I want something that i more fitting to the new line of products.

You dont have to, you can just have your username switched.

It's only about 1300 feedbacks on the old name, which I would be keeping around anyways. I will be selling about 200 items a week and the feedback builds up really quick, so it's not that big of a deal.

Secondly, my friends ripped my original idea/method of selling off and only think I sell on that old name. So buy getting the new name it is kind of hiding whatever new products I get in. They they can't continue to copy my methods, etc.
