Has anyone ever fixed a stuck pixel?

I have pixel that displays red on non-black. I'm gonna full screen this flashing program for several hours.

Has anyone actually seen results with this on LCD monitors though?

I have massaged 3 pixels from 3 screens before.... so that about 3/40. My work has hundreds of 19" flat panels... I always try the finger rub trick when i see one. I cracked 2 leaves a cool effect on the screen.

Ok, I'm putting up the program. My monitor will remain on for 2 hours. I'll let you guys know how it works tomorrow.

I ran a program like that on my dad's lcd monitor. The pixel actually started working normally for a short while but then it got stuck again. 🙁

Ok, my monitor stayed on for 2 hours last night with that program running. It didn't work. 🙁

Can someone give me tips on rubbing one out?

You just start massaging it until the sticky stuff comes out.

Wait, are we talking about LCD screens now? 🙁

Using your thumb, massage the area of the stuck pixel in a circular motion firmly enough to cause color distortion but not so hard as to crack the plastic. Also try to rub it while the flash program is running, that seems to help sometimes as well.

I just got a new LCD for christmas and it has one green stuck pixel. I tried a program called JScreenFix for about an hour and had no luck.
It's from Costco, so I'm thinking I'll just exchange it. I don't care what the manufacturer's official policy is. I think it is ridiculous that after spending hundreds of dollars, we should have to accept a monitor with an annoying bright green dot on it.

nah. my monitor one day just had a row of several pixels (6-7) die. i took it back and they replaced it with a new one. too bad it took two fvcking weeks! o well.
