Has anyone ever changed their mind because of this forum?

You don't have to convince a person to do a total 180 to have changed someone's opinion enough to make a difference in their perception of "the big picture".
 
I've changed my mind on some social issues from what I read online. I'm pretty open minded.

I also use these forums to test arguments I might have before I use them IRL 🙂.
 
I haven't changed my mind, er, well... I might have, er, maybe... propaganda... constant... brainwashing... sheeple... AH-HA! Bush bad! America Bad! Republicans stupid, conservatives ignorant! Bush EVIL!!!

There is this ideal that we should embrace Diversity, however it doesnt seem to apply to the diversity of the views that disagree with the elites that want to change America.

As Americans (I realize not everone is A US Citizen), people tend to beleive they have a right to have their own beliefs. People should have a little understanding for people with differring beliefs. People should not be called ignorant or stupid if they have a different belief or a different culture than yours. People that say they Hate Bush or Hate Clinton or whoever are just debasing themsleves down to the level of ignorance.

If the United States gets too liberal or too conservative it tends to sway one way or the other to counteract that trend in the next election or the one after that. I tend to disagree with the idealogs of both the Democrats and the Republicans, but I can see some bad and some good on both sides.
