Has anyone ever bought a Dell product from someone else??

Instead of Dell?? Friend is going to sell me one of the 20 inch LCDs he was able to get in last week's deal but not sure about some things. Will I be able to call for tech support? Will I be able to return if it's effective etc. without going through friend?? Trying to get answer from Dell but been on the phone for almost an hour already. Need to figure this out because if need be I'll just buy at Dell with the $70 discount that's on tech deal sites.

Today is not a good day to call Dell 😀

Huge $750 coupon deal going on! Dell sales is probably working its ass off. Anyway, IIRC, the Dell site indicates that warranty is transferable.

I know I know. I didn't get in that deal. And yeah, I finally got through. The person said my friend will be able to transfer ownership 🙂

You CANNOT transfer ownership of a MONITOR under ANY circumstances, this only applies to systems. You will ALWAYS have to go through your friend if you have any problems with it. TRUST ME, I know this better than Dell CSRs.

Thanks I was wondering this.

OT: This is off-topic, but AndyD2K, I tried to reply to your PM to me, but it said that "Error: User does not want to accept private messages" :-O
