The noise won't scare her? :)

Have fun!

All I know of it was that Monty Python performed there.

I sat in the terrace boxes for a la phil concert once. It was awesome. Homemade picnic and great music (Haydn if I remember right). I don't remember it being exactly cheap though.

I think the LA Phil or Hollywood bowl have package deals, but good luck this weekend.

On the Hollywood Bowl website the M,N,L,P are all under $20 and the rest are under $15. Include parking and it's well under $100. I'm sure she'll love it.

many times my favorite performace was the playboy jazz festival

i would say get the cheap seats and get up and move when you see some of the boxes empty or seats empty closer. this works well if the even isnt too crowded.

I was at the Hollywood Bowl about one month ago when we saw Carol Channing. But first we brought dinner and had a picnic across the street where there are about 15 wooden tables standing next to the parking lot. I parked on the eastern side of 101 and walked about 10 minutes to the wooden tables. Bring binoculars and blankets if you go.

Tomorrow night is sold out, but there are plenty available for tonight and Sunday.

I think I'll purchase two tickets for Sunday night.

The baby is 2, and children under 2 don't have to pay... should I try and pass her off as 23 months? :p

IMO R2, R1, S, T1, T2 should be fine, then just sneak up closer if you want a better view

Unless each of the children have binoculars, anything really far past the Terrace will suck.

From Q-U, the performers are about the width of your pinky nail, with your arm extended and your hand turned sideways.

L-P might be a bit better, but i've never sat in that section or any lower than that before. I can't imagine these seats being that much better for some reason.

I went there yesterday so everything's pretty fresh in my mind. For music, i'd say the crappier seats are fine, but if you're watching acrobatics...up front!
