Has anyone ever been to Romania?

I wouldn't get out of the car while driving through a fly-over state either, unless I had business there.

Ha, way to make Magnus' point for him. I have no doubt a lot of what you say about Romania is true, but you don't sound like a guy who enjoys traveling very much. Which "flyover" states wouldn't you get out of the car in? I'd be interested to see a list.

I visited Romania last month, I had a nice time. Enjoyed Bucharest and Brasov. It was easy to get around (bus/train), and quite cheap too. Locals were friendly. I didn't have any problems. Enjoyed visiting castles and fortresses. Also saw a sheep farmer or two along the way (guess they are still living in the 19th century). Anyway, think I will go back to visit more of the county.
