Has anyone else noticed that hardly any automotive entusiast follow NASCAR?

None of the online things I real (blogs/sites/forums) ever mention nascar in any way, despite coverage of scca, rally and LeMons races.... even f1 news make it on there every so often.

So without further ado I present Halik's dictum:
"Automotive enthusiast generally don't care about nascar"

And by automotive enthusiasts I mean gear heads - people that do lemons, swap motors, do their own work etc. Not someone that leases a Chevy MonteCarlo and sticks a number 8 on the side.

But it would be silly to say that NASCAR folk don't get off on modding their cars. That's pretty much how the entire uh...."event" began.
 
Rednecks don't have computers, they're too busy doing things with their lives. You need to look elsewhere to find the rugged self reliant beast than the intarweb.

Well, for starters, NASCAR has really gotten away from the enthusiast/gearhead crowd. It is one thing to have many unique 'stock' cars racing, but nowadays the only real difference are hte stickers.
