I think someone ripped my email from my profile on Anandtech and subscribed me to their yahoo group. This is the second time someone has grabbed my email for stupid stuff. I was wondering if there has been any other complaints about the profiles used in this way. I for one do not like the idea of strangers signing me up for crap.

The reason I think it is through Anandtech is because it is another hot deals type place (i think. I have never visited it) And second I rarely use the email posted here for any other sites or services. :|
 
I've never had such problems, and 've been around since the forums originally started., long before they were useing FT. I havent heard of any others have any problems like that either.
 
Maybe its just me then. There was one time though the guy specifically said he was from anandtech and said it was a one time spam. I never heard from him again. But it kinda sux that some people dont have anything better to do with their time.
