I'm getting some problems with Quake 3 / Team arena and SOF2. It seems all my Open GL games will crash some time after I've been playing for a bit.

I found the error message a bit curious, it says something about AMD feature code which really is quite odd since I'm using an Intel CPU. Perhaps it is a case or running the wrong CPU code or something...? Weird I know...
Umm, anyway, some real ideas on how I can fix it etc etc will help.
FYI. I use Win XP SP1 with latest patches. This problem just appeared out of the blue one day and I can't fix it. Right now it seems to be only for Open GL games and ones based on Q3 engine Q3 and Soldier of Fortune 2. Serious Sam and Jedi Knight 2 (Q3 engine but isnt affected) & AquaNox remain unaffected.
Apart from that I could use some ideas on how to fix it. I have a 17.2 backup file (OS backup which worked when I backed it up). I restored 3 times after 3 formats but still get the problem. If worst comes to worst I may have to do a full format but this will be my final solution as no one has that much time to format and reinstall everything.
