has anyone come across forums that let you create sub-categories to your main Category?

has anyone come across forums that let you create sub-categories to your main Category before the forum/thread pages?

For example lets say, that Off Topic was a Category and not a Forum here on Anandtech....is it possible to break down Off Topic into sub-categories such as: YAGT, Jokes, Cars, etc?

So you would first choose, Off Topic, then you would navigate to Cars (then maybe another Category like Foreign Cars)...then you could create a new post.

You can do this is phpbb with a mod. It will also be standard in phpbb 2.2 when it's released.

I've heard you can do with with Invision Power Board 2.0 when(ever) it comes out...of course they tell you that the new version can do it...but who knows.

It's pretty close now... possible it will be out by the end of this year.
