hey all,

thinking of buying the
Antec TruePower 2.0 430W PSU ($76.99 ) and
Logitech x-230 2.1 2 speakers ($37.64) from amazon.com.

Have you guys had any experience buying hardware from there? Its loads cheaper than newegg, zipzoomfly and others. With free shipping.

Seems to good to be true. Are they reliable and all? First time going to buy computer hardware stuff from them.

Thanks!

I've never bought hardware from them, but I've bought other things and they've been very reliable.

I bought a Nero CD....they sent the cheap version and not the one
they advertised.
The company denied it, but Amazon gave me a refund without any hassle.

Amazon is a good place to buy. Hardware is "linked" out (usually.) But, they stand behind it. I bought a $600 SLR camera lens from them. No problem at all.

I've purchased 3 Zalman 7000 heatsinks from them. Shipping was free and I received items in one day. I've always found Amazon to be a great place to shop, even for computer hardware. Newegg has gotten to pricey. They used to be my favorite, but there are lots of other good, competitive companies out there to buy from.

Yes I have purchased things like a Linksys router, an optical mouse, and a Motorola Surfboard Cable Modem. Sometimes their prices are really competitive on networking products. Never had any problems with their products. They dont sell many things like motherboards and internal computer parts. Usually around Christmas time they have some good sales.

Has anyone bought hardware from amazon?

I went to buy an LCD monitor from them yesterday, and when I got towards the end of the sale, it stated:

"This item is shipped from Tiger Direct".

Needless, to say, I clicked the cancel button at that point.

Yeah.. you want to buy from Amazon.com ONLY.. They have an amazing "customer is always right" return policy. Get a defect... and they will ship to you before they even get your defective item returned. On exchanges (possibly not refunds), they pay the shipping of your defective item and send the UPS guy to your front door to pick it up..

Totally great experience if you ever get a faulty product.. SPEEDY TWO DAY SHIPPING on your replaced item.. even if you paid only for ground shipping when you bought the original
