Has anyone benchmarked their CPU in Sandra Lite XI?

I just put together an Athlon64 5200 system with 1 GB of Crucial DDR2-800 memory. When I run the benchmarks in Sisoft Sandra Lite XI, I get a Dhrystone score of 9078. When I select the dropdowns to see what other systems score, I see that the Athlon64 4800 scores a 17,000. Is this right, or is that benchmark just totally broken? How can a slower CPU score almost twice as fast?

I used CPU-Z to make sure that my system is running at the correct speed, and it is.

If anyone else has Sandra Lite XI, could you post your scores?

Thanks.

Weird.....I was just about to post a similar question. I just built a C2D E6400 on a 975chipset MB and am only getting 19616MIPS for Dhrystone and 13610MFLOPS for Wheatstone, Sandra XI says 38546 Dhrystone and 26823 Wheatstone for an E6400. So I'm roughly at a half of what Sandra says is average. Are these numbers accurate?

Also, the floating point and integer are roughly half of what Sandra says they showed be.

Thanks for any info.

911TZ, I'm not trying to hijack your thread, but maybe we can both get some info to resolve our questions.

Hmm, it's good to see that I'm not the only one with these problems. Anyone else?

Is it only benchmarking one core?

That's actually a Q6400 that Sandra XI says for 38546/26823. It does not have E6400 in it's Benchmark comparisons. There is nothing wrong with it.

Yep, they have added many highend quad benches in the latest version

To the OP it does look like you have a problem, have you loaded the AMD dual core drivers? Does task manager show both CPU's?

No prob. And if you don't know where the Q6400 is, it's actually marketed as the Xeon X3210 LGA775 Quad Core and runs about $900. My E6400 @ 3.6GHz doesn't even come close to it.

I didn't load any dual core drivers, but task manager shows both cores.

If I look at what a 4800 is supposed to do, it's much higher than what mine is putting out now. On the other hand, CPUMark shows it to be on-par with other chips of its type. Then again, CPUMark only tests one core, so a 2.6 ghz dual core will score the same as a 2.6 ghz single core.

Update: I installed the utility and the dashboard, too. It doesn't seem to make any difference. On the dashboard, core2 is always pegged at 100%, while core 1 changes.

I found out there were other problems with my system. It was set to ACPI PC instead of ACPI Multiprocessor PC. Even though it showed both CPUs in device manager, it still wasn't utilizing the other core. Only one showed up in Task Manager. Guitardaddy helped me out with that, now it sees both.

New score: 17535
