Spent a couple of days in Jamaica, but it was on a cruise and we stayed on the boat. Great trip though! We hired a local to film us climbing the waterfalls and then diving off. Great place to vacation.

I am hoping to win one of the Sandals giveaways so I can go back!

Yes, stayed a little west of ochos rios. Good weather but the water wasn't as clear as Nassau and not as much sealife. A very poor country with very bad roads. We would go back but it's towards the bottom of the list. We liked and felt safer in Nassau.

Jamaica is the only place someone tried to sell me weed as I walked out the airport terminal. And it's the only place I've seen where it's illegal and they still stand out in the open smoking it. Warning - never buy weed in the airport...it's a scam...the dealer sells it, the police come bust you right away, you pay the high ticket, the police gives the weed back to the dealer and he keeps selling it to tourists. This was explained to us by someone else on the plane as we were on the way down there.

Went to Ocho Rios on my honeymoon in 1995. We stayed at a resort called the "Enchanted Garden" which was absolutely wonderful. It is built into the hillside overlooking Ocho Rios (not right on a beach like all the Sandals and hedonism resorts). The best part about being up on the hill was that most of the resort was in a tropical garden setting. There was a stream winding down the hill with many waterfalls and wding pools for our enjoyment. We spent many an afternoon cuddled in a hammock under tropical trees next to waterfalls!! It was all-inclusive (and they had 3 GREAT restaurants right at the resort) so we ate like kings!

Oh - and they DID have a beach property too, just shuttled us down to it whenever we wanted!

I have been to Jamiaca, but only for a few hours that the cruise ship was there. It wasn't a very good experience, as my ex got in a mess with one of the locals. I wouldn't be excited about going back there.

Bremuda is a lot better, but Jamaca is OK. Get a massage on the beach. We got a 1 hr. full body massage in a hut on the beach from this hot chick on a thong for only $20! Man...I wanted to marry that woman!

I used to goto jamaica all the time when I flew for a living. nice place, its been a couple of years since I have been. If you stay near the resorts you will be fairly safe, however it can get rough if you venture out. This was at montego bay and like I said, its been a couple of years since I have been there. Goto cancun or the bahamas instead.
