Yeah, I know this is just a relabeled Chaintech Zenith VE. At least I know now (wouldn't have bought it if I knew prior). Anyway, no matter what O/C setting I use, even a tiny one, the system restarts with Setup defaults reset. I know this 3500+ o/c's very well as I ran it in my previous system at 2530ghz (166/200 * 230 = 190.9, 230 * 4HT = 920 <= 1000) without a sweat.
disable spread spectrum
set memory mode to 1T
set PCI-E clock to 100
set maxmemclock to 166
set HTT bus (fsb) to 230
Set cpu multiplier to 11 (stock)
Set HTT multiplier to 4
At these settings, everything else in the system should be running at or BELOW default settings.
I suspect it's something funky with the BIOS, but it won't even allow me to flash the BIOS to anything else, and I've tried both BIOS from BFG and Chaintech. In both cases, I get this message:
This message and the fact that both BIOSes posted over at BFGtech appears to be OLDER than the current one on this board seems to indicate that this is either not the same board that used to carry the BFG label or that a new revision of some type has been released.
VNF4/VNF4 ULTRA 10/03/2005
BIOS ID: 10/03/2005-NF-CK804-VN61F211C-00
Anyone else have a board like this? I'm about ready to dump it, cut my losses, and get something else.
