Has anyone assembled an AR-15 Lower receiver?

I "finished" mine but I am a little scurred because I have an extra roll pin laying around after completing the assembly.

Is this 3rd roll pin an extra they put in the lower receiver kit by mistake?

As far as I know, I used only 2 roll pin when assembling the lower. One for the trigger guard and one for the Bolt catch. What's the 3rd roll pin for?

I hate that feeling of having left over parts but you're all good. Only 2 roll pins, looks like they tossed an extra in the bag.

I only had two roll pins. You got lucky and got an extra.

In the military, we were "forbidden" to take the lower apart. I always did any way for cleaning. Q Tip cotton always got stuck on the springs and that was the first thing the armorer would look for when we turned them in.

Just make sure you have the trigger reset catch and spring in there! I nearly forgot that on my first build and noticed something was up while function testing it.

Yep I got everything right. Since its my first AR build, the extra roll pin scared the hell out of me. Otherwise everything got installed and function tested perfectly.

No, you're supposed to leave out that spring at the bottom of the trigger...
