Has anybody used Walmart.com's DVD renting service?

yeah, I tried their trial. it's ok, service was roughly the same as netflix. their selection sucks the big one though. after 2 dvds, I couldn't find anything to rent that I hadn't seen-

there was in article in WSJ today about them. they just cut their prices. its like $15 now for 2 dvd's and their other packages undercut netflix by a buck or so. but they only have six distribution centers vs. like 15 for netflix, meaning it will likely take 2-3 days for walmart vs 1-2 for netflix.

article also said they just expanded selection to like 12,000 titles or so (too lazy to reread article) I think netflix has like 15,000.

how long ago did you try it?

I tried it.. Canceled after the trial.. Turn around time is pretty slow. A week total (2 to 3 days for them to get it, 2 to 3 days for me to get the disks).. Netflix is about 3 days total for me (their collection center is a 5 min drive from me).. I'm sure walmart will get better though.. Netflix sucked at first too (2 week turnaround since they were all the way in Cali and used bulk mail years ago)..
