How much is it? Probably a waste of money compared with how little a professionally designed antenna is.

Are you looking to do Point-to-Point range extending or just something to throw on a AP to increase coverage area? Because you know a cantenna is unidirectional right?

Use a pringles can. There was an article on the BBC web site about it - probably the exact inspiration for the "Cantenna".

Cantennas are great, For ~$20, you can get to the dead spots in your house. But keep in mind it's directional, not omni. If you are looking for a better coverage, get a higher gain omni (expensive) if you want to connect 2 long range networks together, get a high gain parabolic antenna, that should do the trick.
