Has anybody updated bios je439 for m/b fic va503+ ?

I have many old devices and limited conditions for experiments.
The older bios je438 don't work in my low computer, i couldn't install win98se with it.
Is there anybody here who is using bios je439 ?
I take an interest in it as have trouble in work of savage4 with agpx2.

If you can't run the je438 I don't think the je439 will help you. I have one computer that running the je438.

I have just reinstalled Win98 on this board after trying WinME. WinME gave me a pci to isa bridger error that now Win98 drivers would remove. This stopped the isa card from working so I went back to Win98se and I installed the JE439 bios. I was running Win98se on here before with the JE1537 bios. This time it seems to have installed the ACPI stuff grabbing an irq for ACPI steering which then left no irq's for the isa sound card. I switched to a PCI sound card and everything is now irq happy. Must have been the newer bios I guess. I don't remember seeing this ACPI steering in the last install of Win98se on this board. One other thing I saw happen that was different. After installing Win98se and shutting down the computer when to the Windows shutting down screen and stayed there. Rebooting didn't put it into scandisk. Installing the Windows shutdown patch didn't affect it but after putting in the VIA patches it now just shutdowns quickly to a black screen with a blinking cursor. I don't have an explaination but it is not how it acted with JE1537. I don't believe I had the shutdown patch installed when I ran it with the JE1537 bios.

Im using je439 now.
1. shutdown prob. I use reboot in dos mode for turn off ore install windows with options "setup /p i" without acpi/pnp bios(so psu at).
2. isa soundcard & new irq sequence 5,15,... I use resourse controlled by user with set irq5 for sound or disable usb. But installation of patch via 4in1 need setting usb enable. There is some prob.
3. It is user's subjektive impress - ide devices (cd-rom) work better.
