has anybody taken a class in winemaking?

I'm thinking of taking this 2 credit course but someone told me it sucks

but that was from a girl's point of view, a freshman who wants to look like a celebrity and has an eating disorder so I don't know how reliable that comment is

Any class that teaches you how to make your own booze is ok in my book

I bet it would be fun. I'm equally sure it is impossible for an individual winemaker to craft a wine that would sell for more than $4 per bottle. Not that I am thinking you would sell any, but you could buy better wine for less money than it would cost you to make it.

Still, the class would be fun. You'd learn some interesting things.

My boss makes his own wine at home, as does another coworker. It can get expensive to buy the materials I think, but once you have them, you can make plenty of your own wine.

Don't plan on making any money doing this long-term. It's mostly for personal enjoyment.


I say take the class. It's two credits for something that could turn out to be very interesting and fun.
