Has anybody here upgraded their PS3 HDD ?

Picked up a WD scorpio 160GB 2.5' SATA


Tried to format it via my PC with a couple programs with no luck,so I removed the factory 60GB from the PS3 and installed the 160GB and booted up and the PS3 formatted it then gave a cannot start message.......😕



So,I figred it was at least formatted to fat 32 now so removed it and put the 60gb back and the 160gb in the usb case and the PS3 will still not see it ?


I went into systems settings and saw the format hdd but that is the one in the system,correct not the ext usb case ?

I did and didnt have problems, You need to format it using the option in the game os, not before. try Reading The Friendly Manual.

And no idea what the hell a game os is but thanks for reading the OP...kinda...😉
