I personally would never have it done, but for those interested, I've seen a few documentaries on it, and, depending on what kind you have, the healing process can be quite painful.

If you're serious about wanting it, get a consult and ask lots of questions.

No, I wouldn't submit to knife for reasons of vanity, aside from the fact that my Hubby wouldn't notice unless I walked out wearing two harddrives and an Asus board, I refuse to buy into the media marketing machine of what a 'woman' (in my case) should look like.

A search came up with this A Personal Story, a show on all the in's and out's of the 'cut and tuck' business.

On a related note, how many here have had Lasik or will consider having cybernetic enhancements once they are widely available? Are glasses artificial? Where's the boundary between real and artificial? :D

Glasses are an inconvenience, not just cosmetic. I would give anything to be able to see when I first open my eyes in the morning.

Glasses are an inconvenience, not just cosmetic. I would give anything to be able to see when I first open my eyes in the morning.

That'd be reasonable... you get one eye done, keep using contacts in the other. Then you keep one testicle.
