Has anybody heard of problems with the 6600GT AGP and PSU's

Stumps

I am planning on buying a Gigabyte GV-N66T128D 6600GT agp videocard to replace my ageing Gigabyte RV-9700PRO, and I would like to find out if anybody has had any issues with the AGP versions of the 6600GT? I have test the leadtek cards and have found them to be pretty dodgy with cheaper PSU's, has anybody tryed the gigabyte card yet?
I havent had a chance to test the leadtek cards with a ANTEC psu yet so I don't know if it will work in my system.

my specs are

Athlon XP 3000+ Barton
GA-7N400PRO
1GB DDR400
4 X Western Digital WD1200JB 120gb harddisks
liteon 16x DVDROM
Pioneer A08 DVDRW
ANTEC SMARTBLUE 350W PSU

does anybody think that my PSU will die if i add the GF6600GT? currently my system runs really nice and never gives any problems and has done so for 2 years.

I think *MAYBE* the power supply is powerful enough.

4 hard drives with all the rest of your hardware... I don't know. Maybe.

With the 6600GT AGP *requiring* a power lead from your power supply, it may be too much.

But, you can eliminate that, by removing all but one hard drive and connecting a separate power lead (nothing else on it) to the power connector on the card....

My XFX Geforce 6600GT AGP box states 450W power supply required.

hmmm does anybody know the minimum requirements for the Gigabyte card?, I already have on free power lead left on my psu, the DVD'S and floppy share one and the 4 Harddisk and 9700pro share the other with a pair of power splitters for the HDD's, it all runs fine, I would assume that as long as the 6600GT had it's own power lead to itself it whould be fine.
