I saw the Hot Shoe Duplex Bubble Level over at DPS and was wondering;

are they any good, do they actually help?
and can you use the build in flash on the 30d with one?


I was thinking when i take vertical (?) shots some times they are not even \ the camera is not perpindicular to the floor so I thought this would help

IIRC, I bought one from the same ebay seller you linked to; it shipped from China, and arrived in about 10 days. $10 always wins over $30....when the are nearly identical. Its nothing fancy....but it helps keep your shots level when using a tripod (or other time when you don't need the hot shoe)

My tripod has a level on it for vertical or horizontal shooting.

I see no need for one when shooting handheld.
