My skin is not bad but it's not good either. I was wondering if any one here has used Proactiv? Did it really work for you or was it a waste of money?

How about you BE proactive about facial hygiene?

Get a beauty pumice stone or a nice exfoliater, soap + water, and moisturize after each wash with something mild and unscented like Lubriderm.

Yes, I use it. It is awesome stuff and works wonders.

The hardest part is self-discipline and actually using it every single night, as well as getting white pillowcases and bedsheets.

it works pretty well if u use it correctly and make sure to use all 3 things every night. but yes, ur pillowcases may whiten from the peroxide. (standard ingredient and proven to help acne)

It works good for me, takes a little to get going and you have to use it the way it says. I've ruined a few shirts though, it'll bleach stuff. Seems especially bad on things that are light blue, strangely enough i've never bleached a pillow case before though.

Used it and it works great. For something cheaper I used something called the PanOxyl bar which I believe contains the same active ingredients. This works great and is just a bar like a bar of soap, but it too bleaches things. So what I do is use it in the shower and use regular (nuetragena) stuff at other times (or you could just not wear a shirt while doing it).

i used it and it worked for a while, but after awhile i broke out more. if you need something for acne, the BEST thing to do is see a dermatologist

What an awfully ignorant assumption.

Proactive is just over priced set of benzoyl peroxide 10%, exfoliant, and a skin lotion.

Buy these things separately and save big.

Use soap.

Acne is NOT a cleanliness issue. In fact, acne can aggravated by too much washing.

yep. if your skin gets washed too much, it will think it is too dry and produce more oil, thus, clogging your pores.
you need to find a mild cleanser, good toner, light moisturizer and a topical acne solution (i am using retin-a and a sulpher treatment and i have no acne anymore.
each person is different though
