Has Adele ruined her Albert Hall bluray?

With audience participation?{allows the audience to sing part of the song}
I can't stand when this happens, and looking at the tube, it seems as though she did it to "someone like you" and "rolling in the deep"......so does anyone own this DVD/BD and want to comment on the level of audience involvement.

You can't expect zero audience when you buy a concert video for live performance, that's just stupid. I buy a concert video because I want to feel like I was there, so audience participation doesn't bother me a bit.

Jesus, you buy a concert dvd and expect crowd silence. Brilliant.

No, I mean when the singer hands the singing over to the crowd....how dopey are you people?
It ruins the song, makes it incredibly disjointed.

While I don't disagree, your expectations might be too high for a live performance event. Concerts are made primarily for live audiences, not for home listeners/viewers. Audience participation makes it more fun for some people, that's just the way it is. I doubt every concert is like that, either, so it's not like you won't have a choice.

The studio albums are what you get if you want a pure performance from the artist.

no, the audience didn't ruin the performance...the awful music that backs up her songs ruins them...and the lackluster lyrics that are just whiney as hell..she can sing well but thats the only nice thing I have to say

I have many concert DVD/BD and the ones that are usually the best are the ones where the singer[the person that prompted me to buy the concert] primarily does the singing.

Also, consider how many concerts a singer might do per year, not all of them are set for release to disc....plus, some songs have a strong emotional tone and are immediately ruined the second any major distraction occurs.

It's something I really hate, and considering Adele did it to her two most famous songs, her BD is worthless to me.

I just finished watching this concert on BD. Buy it, you won't regret. The audience was awesome.

she's not exactly queen or whatever, so audience participation is kinda pointless.

Do you have this same issue when Freddie Mercury asked the audience to sing during his Live Aid performance? What do you really expect at a live show seriously?

Agree with Pacman. Sometimes audience participation just kills a performance.

If you're recording for DVD/Blu-ray you should be cognizant of the differences between that audience and the live one and make accommodations. It's not like the live audience is even going to notice anything if they get the fully voiced performance.

I agree with this.. Her "Someone Like You" song is incredibly annoying.

Get it. The post production minimized out the excessive crowd involvement. No stupid clap alongs. No annoying ladies in the crowd singing to every song.

I can't stand Adele but I agree with OP I hate the sound of an audience singing, grossly and always inferior to the singer you want to listen to. Live audience should be limited to cheering and clapping. Please don't join in.
