Has a television episode ever made you cry?

Just rewatched the death of Jean Valjean (played by Gérard Depardieu) in the miniseries Les Misérables. As they always do, the last few minutes of this episode opened the salty floodgates and I have a headache from trying unsuccessfully to keep the tears in. What a tragedy (in the classic sense)!:(

I've also cried watching Buffy die during The Gift, at the end of Sleeping In Light when Babylon 5 is destroyed and during The Inner Light (STTNG).

So what television episode has brought you to tears (of sadness, not of joy)?

If I were to pay attention it would. But I only use it as a sleep aid.

I remember watching MASH (re-run) when Radar came into the OR and told everyone that Colonel Blake's plane had gone down. That was pretty sad, course I was about 8 at the time.

The Inner Light is definitely sad, but I always loved the episode where Q gives Picard a second chance after getting stabbed in the heart by the Norsican.

Jurassic Bark. I show this to people to test them. If you do not cry at the end of this episode, you are incapable of feeling emotions. It's like Bambi times Million Dollar Baby to the power of Old Yeller. I watch it every now and then when I want a good cry, and avoid it at all other times, because, let's face it, if you watch it, you're going to cry. Writing about it is making me cry actually, so I'm going to stop.

This one makes me well up w/ tears, but not cry. There are actually a couple of Futurama eps. that do this.

A couple of Married with Children episodes (the one where the Darcy's and Bundy's go on that luxury cruise trip). Hmm, and some Simpsons episodes, too. Monorail was a good one.

EDIT: ohhh, sadness. Well the very last episode of Married with Children brought me to tears. :(

A few yes but can't remember any off the top of my head. As was mentioned "The Luck of the Fryish" from Futurama made me tear up the first time I saw it. Only other one I remember was an episode of DS9 in which Benjamin Sisko is killed then the rest of the episode follows Jake Sisko as he ages, matures and becomes a talented writer but can't get over the death of his father who he thinks is still alive and appears to him several times during his life. Each time he appears Jake is older but his father is the same age. The scene at the end where Jake decides to commit suicide so that he (as a child) can get his father back and the realization by Benjamin of what his son has done always gets to me.

Really? I LOVE House but I felt that the death of Amber in the last 2 episodes seemed forced and unnatural. It didn't fit very well with the rest of the season and never moved me much. What did move me more was the feeling of irreparable damage house had done to his friendship with Wilson.
