Has a teacher ever made a huge grading error in your favor?

I once had a really unorganized math teacher for Calculus A... I asked about my test performance, but he was unable to read his own grade book. He deciphered one of my test scores as a 92 (it was supposed to be 72).

His mistake brought my average from a B- to a B+😀

yea; on my physics E&M final last spring my grade was recorded online as a 472... on a 200 point test. STDEV was at 40. Needless to say, they fixed it and the STDEV went down to ~25. The histogram of the grade distribution was pretty funny though 🙂

So someone added a 2 to the end of your score?😉

That would a pretty cool score... on a physics final exam too😛

Yes, on a HS physics test and I brought it to the attention of my teacher -- after that he made an announcement that if there was a mistake in your favor, you don't have to bring it up.

they assign us mail boxes to pick up our homeworks/tests/stuff at, so they put down my mailbox # instead. I'd be scared if I did get a 47. Mean was ~102. Evil teacher 🙂

I thought everyone knew that you should never bring an error benefiting you to the teacher.

Yea, that is what I thought.😕

All of our teachers said, "If we made a mistake, accept it as a gift. Don't tell me about it."
