Back when I played a ton of BF2, on my way home from work, there's was a big round structure that looked a lot like the ones in the Daqing Oil Fields. I would always be sure to check the profile of the tower for snipers because pretty much every game of BF2 on that map, some noob would try to snipe from there.

I got a little freaked out one day when I spotted someone doing some maintenance up there. :D

I was driving on the highway with my 8 1/2 month pregnant wife, when a deer ran out into the road. There were 3 cars ahead of me. They all swerved doing about 80 MPG and smashed into each other. The two cars ahead of me stopped with the fronts of their cars both pointing toward the middle of the road.

For a split second, Grand Theft Auto-style, I thought, "I can blast through the middle with minimal damage."

Then, I though, "Augh! WTF! Whoa! Screeeeeeeeeeech!"

Luckily, I stopped just short of hitting them. :)

If I dream about games it comes at random. I vaguely recall wandering around a land that looked like Oblivion, only to look behind me and go "Troll!" *run* Hadn't played it in months.

When I played Eve alot, I would have dreams that incorporated things about it. Like once I remember having a dream of standing on the sidewalk of my childhood home, and off in the distance, I could see 2 red crosses moving across they sky and I was like, OMG Dread!

I LOLed on this one.

No, unfortunately real life sometimes interferes with gameing however. Games are much more fun than real life, and you can win at them too.

Seriously, I have had on a few occasions weird sci-fi type dreams after playing Borderlands. And stangely, I sometimes visualize the first Jedi level (Dantooine I believe, havent played in a long time) of KOTOR with the swaying grass and running brooks and nice music as a calming visualization.

This thread is one of my favorites ever - I've experienced so many of these!

A couple years ago I was taking a road trip with a friend who was addicted to WoW at the time. We stopped in an Indian casino where my friend lost about $200. As we drove away, he said "jeez, I can't believe I lost two-hundred gold!" - he didn't even notice what he had said.

I once wokeup in sweat thinking I had warped my Titan to a gate and tried to use the gates to jump only to be warped scrambled by some DD proof frig with some noob fleet on the other side spamming jump...

That's when I decided to take a break and play more BF2 for stress relief ;-)

And lets not forget the 3am wake up call to join a 250man fleet... gotta love those sick days ;-)

Last week playing BBC2 on our 'RAW' clan server and on TeamSpeak, my wife came home, and a few minutes later said "What salad dressing would you like tonite". I then pushed the 'talk' button on my KB and said "Blue chess, please..." All the guys on our TS channel have been kidding me since...

I remember my number of kills for each weapon, and how many I need to get the bonus points, better than I remember to empty the trash and put out the recycling...

I've had a couple of such experiences, the last one I can remember is relatively recent, about three months or so ago when I was absolutely addicted to Allods Online (my first real MMORPG experience, the first one being Star Wars Galaxies but only for two months). Anyway, so one morning as usual I wake up and go prepare my breakfast, I'm asking to myself "can't decide, toasts or cereals this morning...", I then remember opening the fridge and looked at the bag of sliced bread and then told myself "meh I'll pass"...

It only took a moment until I realized that I just referred to one of the three rolling options when we have group loot within party in the game, when an item is being picked up from a dead mob (or a bag) there's a window popping up with the item in question, with three options to chose from, to roll "Need", "Greed" or "Pass" the item. I never told myself that I would "pass on toasts this morning", or perhaps I did but due to the addiction to the game during that time I think that I just thought about it as a reflex.

When I see threads in various discussion forums with the title "You play too much of [insert game name here] when...", I then immediately think "...when you think about either rolling Need or Pass on your breakfast" and laughing at myself.

Tony Hawk's Pro Skater

When walking around the city IRL every railing, park bench, etc. I saw I'd think about grinding it and the best way to combo.

I definitely did this too back when I played that game a lot! Also, looking around and trying to figure out how I could reach "secret" areas.
