Yes I know, real men use straight razor, or go to barber shop. But for the rest of us, does anyone user one of these online "clubs". Their prices are comparative, from the looks and description, products are similar too. Wondering if anyone has any experience with them. I am on the last blade of my fusion power pack bought from Costco sometime last year... Thinking about giving one of these places a shot... Any suggestions?

I tried the Dollar Shave Club blades and didn't care for them. I could live with them if I had to, but I wasn't impressed enough to stick with it.

The mid and upper grade ones from Dollar Shave club are supposed to be good. I use electric so that is based on what others have posted.

Truthfully, the best razor I've used has been the Kroger store clone of the Mach 5. It's like $6 for a pack of 4 blades, and the handle +2 blades is like $4.

For me, Mach 3 blades on whatever free Gillette handle I currently have (it's the vibrating one, although that part is shot). AFAIK Mach 3 blades will fit any Gillette handle and they are much cheaper than the fancy newer models.

I tried two of the DSC cartridges. I think they were the three and four blade ones, but it could have been two and three blade I can't quite remember. The cartridges were kind of "tall" in a way that made it difficult to hit tight places like right under my nose.

Refresh my memory ... how many blades do you get in a month?

** Edit ** I see it is four or five a month.

Every face is different. I use the disposable "Wilkinson Sword" 10-pack from Wal-Mart. They are fracking sharp. I use about 1 per week depending on how many times I need to be ultra smooth. Usually I get 2x with & against shaves (ultras smooth) and 2x with grain shaves. Shaving every other day ish.

I think when I started working the numbers I realized that Dollar Shave Club isn't that much cheaper for me. You can get a 20 pack of Mach 3 blades at Sam's Club for $36.44, which comes out to $1.82 each. For the three blade deal at DSC it is $6 for four blades, or $1.50 each.

You have to pay the $6 each month to DSC. On average I get a good two weeks out of a Mach 3 blade so my weekly price comes out to $0.91. With DSC my weekly price comes out to $1.50. It just didn't work for me.

I've seen the hundreds of ads on the interwebs... even clicked on one once and checked it out. Looks interesting but I'm going on month 3 of the same Mach3 blade so meh.

If I didn't get the one wipe charlies I probably wouldn't do it. DSC has been around for a while and since I stopped paying my membership for Sam's it's just easier and cheaper for me to go the DSC route.

Well, there is something to be said about the convenience factor too though. It sucks when you realize you are on your last blade and you forgot to pick some up last shopping trip. I would almost be willing to pay a little more for the convenience of DSC .. almost. If Sam's ever stops selling the Mach 3 blades I will probably just go ahead and do it.

My son and I split a shipment of dollar shave club refills. I bought an extra handle and we always have some left over. I go through a blade every 2 weeks or so right now, sometimes I use the electric rechargeable instead, but he goes through a blade a month (he's 14), so we always have plenty left over. I think we have probably 10 boxes in the bathroom in a drawer somewhere.

I think some of them use the Dorco razors that are on sale at Slickdeals all the time. They're junk. I bought a bundle deal because it was cheap & ended up throwing them all away after slogging through them for a couple weeks, went back to my million-blade Gillette :p

I'm pretty sure Dollar Shave Club uses Dorco blades.

I've used Dollar Shave Club for about a year now and I love it. I get the executive razors for $9/ month, but I only order every 2 months. One razor lasts me two weeks since I only shave about every other day. It is great having them automatically shipped to my door, and their customer service is awesome as well.

 Same here. Great inexpensive razor.

Harry's had the worst blade I've ever used. Plus it rusted.

You must have gotten a bad one... used then a few times and while not quite up to Gillette standards they are pretty good.

Stopped using them because I hate the slippery handle plus the lack of a single trimming blade makes it impossible for me to get a complete shave.

I use Dollar Shave Club. Get 4 blades sent to me every other month. I keep a trimmed beard so I don't use razors all that much. Last time I did the math it was ever so slightly cheaper than buying blades from Costco, plus the quality is better.

I went ahead and ordered from Harry's. It was $15 for 8 blades, but I had a $5 coupon, $10 is not a bad deal to check'em out... They had a free trial too if you sign up for the package with shaving cream and after shave and that good stuff, but I didn't want to commit to it and then possibly back out...
